LV, Exams, Break
Ya it's been awhile since i've written so this might be a long one....
LV was good. Dad and I had a good time. I picked him up at the airport wed. While waiting for the bags the guy who he sat next to on the plane kept talking to me and introducued himself. He was a little odd and when he intoduced himself it looked like he wanted a hug as a greating not just a hand shake... weird.. Dad arrived ok but his bags did not. Meaning they lost his bags somewhere between dc, texas and arizona... fun. From what i saw it looked as though he wasn't the only one. So finally we left with a number to call about his bags.Getting on I 10 we stopped at the supper wal mart to buy dad some clothes for the following days just incase plus who knew what would be open the next day, thanksgiving. After getting what was needed we hopped in the car and drove to flagstaff which i want to say is about 4hours away. And for those who don't know flagstaff is cold. When we arrive about 8-9pm it was 30 outside. Not fun. We stayed at marriott sutes it was similar to a holiday inn express which is nice. 1 bed room and a living room/kitchen area. Plus the beds were soft. The next day(thanksgiving) we arrived in LV about 2 maybe ealier. Stopping over the Hoover dam to take a quick picture. We got to the hotel checked in and into our room on the 23rd floor *scary* fine. The lobby of the hotel wasn't just a cassino but a shopping mall too with every store open. I being be just had to drag dad into sephora for some much needed makeup. We wondered around the strip stopping in a few hotels and stores.. Including cokeacola world where we tried 20 something diffrent sodas from around the world. It was pretty awsome but some of the drinks were pretty nasty tasting. I was amazed by all the people there for thanksgiving but realized most werent american. By walking so much i somehow managed to piss off my bad ankle which gave me pain though out the trip. Thanksgiving dinner was a nice place in the hotel dad and i had steak, yummy. We was Ave. Q which was really funny.. it was done with puppets sorta a spoof of sesame street but sorta the adult verson about where life takes you. I enjoyed the show. Though the intence sex secene with the puppets was awkard with dad sitting right next to me. The show was at this new hotel called the wynn named after the guy who bulid the bellagio, mgm, and a few other hotels. The lobby was decorated for xmas and was soo amazing i can;t describe it.. Walking under rows of lights and fake snow and green was so .. wow. The next day we did somemore running around which included seeing the lions at mgm and the tigers and all the animals at the siegfried and roy habbiat at the mirage. It was soo cool the white lions were so pretty they were my fav. The dolphins were really cool too in the fact that they were play ful but not because they had to put on shows but because they wanted to be. That night we went to this comdy/ magic show. It was funny but the guy kept talking about masterbation and i would have enjoyed it more if my dad wasn't sitting right there. The next day we left around noon after picking up a new camria battery. We drove to phoenix and spent the night then got up and drove the 2 hr drive to tucson the next moring.
And now the weeks have gone by so fast and it's finals. I really don't want to accept that it is but i must and i must study. I'm hopeful of my grades. Math so far i have a C and i should have a B in both Classics and Theather but according to my TV If i get a B on the exam in Theather i'll have an A in the class. So hopefully i'll do well.. I read, re read notes and my note cards. Classics i wasn't so sure how i did on the make up test and i'm still not but i did get an A on the paper part of the test so i'm more hopeful then i was about my grade. What i knew on the test i knew alot about so i hope my professor takes that in. I don't know when that makeup test will be back in. and that worries me and will continue to until i see it.
My plans for the break have gotten themselves together. Early the 17th 630 am to be exact i get my cab to the airport to leave for maryland. I get in about 3 and will be at my house by 4. 7 or 8 i'll pick up katie and drive downtown to the black cat to see my beloved army of me. Sunday i'm sure i'll see monica and/or katie plus hang around with mom. Monday is another lazy day and last min packing for new york. Tues i catch an 7 am train to nyc i'll get there alittle b4 11 meet up with amanda then we'll have lunch with nancy. Then after that amanda and i will go to her house which is about an hour away.I'll stay there for that day and the next then leave the day after which is thrs catch a train from the city and get back to maryland before 4. I hear though the grape vine that my grandfather (mom's dad) might be coming to visit me.. uhh great more stress.. just what i need a visit from him.. but he's getting me the box sets i wanted so i'll be nice.. the things i do for anime... Then Sat morning we (me, dad, and matt) leave for Cali to spend a night then go on a cruise to mexico..
After barley survie a week on a ship with most of my family i go back to arizona. Then Nancy comes to vist for a few days. I'll take her around campus and tucson and even to mexico. we'll have a hoot.
As for now i should go study.. yay for greek words i need to known..
